My name is Jesse LaJeunesse. Lah-zheu-NESS. It’s French for “the youth,” which I always hesitate to tell people because it prompts them to ask me if I speak French. I do, but only when I’m drinking, and I don’t drink very often, so the answer is “not really.”
My favorite thing to do is write. Someone once told me you can’t have everything you want in life, so in consequence I don’t write nearly as often as I would like to. Right now I’m working on a novel about colors in secret and a serial novel that you can read as it comes out, if you want to. It’s called Compelling Existence for the Nonexistence of the Universe, and it’s a SF/Fantasy hybrid about…oh, what am I thinking! The exact story is so obvious from the title that I won’t insult you by explaining it.
I’m also compelling by some unknowable force to banter with strangers. So if you and I ever meet, we’ll probably have a short, hopefully witty, pop-culture infused conversation, and neither one of us will ever realize that we had a previous connection through the magic of the internet. Too bad, really.
